Dear Parents,

Make your child an Eatons Hill Star!  It’s a great way to celebrate your child’s birthday, graduation from primary school, great report card or any other event. 

You will also help our library collection to grow by adding a brand new, good-quality book to it.

We have prepared a “Star Wish List”, a collection of titles which we would love in the Library collection.  The list includes picture books and fiction, high-interest non-fiction, classics, reference and fun titles.

This list is available on the school website.

To participate in the program, select a book title from the “Star Wish List”.  Buy a copy of the book.  Send the book, together with your child’s name, class and reason for the donation.

We will make a bookplate which will include your child’s name, class and a brief statement giving the reason for the donation.  The bookplate will be fastened inside the book. 

After this is complete, the book will be prepared for use in the Library.  Wherever possible, your child will also be the first to borrow the new book.  Then the book will become a usual part of the Library’s collection.

You will find that your child will have a special appreciation for any book he/she adds to our Library shelves.  They will enjoy sharing them with their classmates and teacher. 

These books will remain in the Library collection for as long as possible, reminding everyone of your child’s special occasion or achievement.
